Some ideas arrive softly.
A whisper in the middle of the night.
A feeling you can’t shake.
The NOW Project began that way, a simple idea rooted in one belief: our lives, as they are right now, are already worthy of being remembered.
What followed was something far bigger than I could have imagined.

The NOW Project Exhibition was one of the proudest moments of my life and career. Seeing families, children, and beloved dogs represented as art, printed large, tangible, timeless, was deeply moving.
These weren’t just photographs on walls.
They were stories.
Legacies.
Proof that ordinary days are anything but ordinary.
To witness these images displayed in front of a community filled with art lovers, dog lovers, and supporters of something bigger than themselves was nothing short of magic.
And together, that room raised $1,845.00 for the Dogs’ Refuge Home, a cause so close to my heart. To create art that gives back, that protects and supports animals who need us most, is the kind of work I want to do forever.

The mini film shown on the night was truly a labour of love. Crafted with care, emotion, and intention, it told the story of why this movement exists.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
The impact it had on people, the tears, the conversations, the quiet moments of reflection, is something I couldn’t be more proud of. It confirmed everything I believe about photography: that it isn’t just seen, it’s felt.

This exhibition would not have come to life without the generosity of incredible businesses and humans who believed in the mission.
Major Sponsors
Each of these sponsors brought not only support, but heart, and I’m endlessly grateful.

The silent auction was another beautiful expression of community, with generous donations from creatives and businesses who gave so willingly so that every dollar raised could go directly to helping dogs in need.
This is what happens when community, creativity, and compassion meet.
What started as a small idea in my head became a full-blown movement that has broadened my brand, my life, and my purpose.
Families who said yes to The NOW Project now hold forever memories: images that will outlive trends, phones, and fleeting moments. Their stories were honoured, celebrated, and witnessed. That matters.
This project reminded me why I do what I do. It reinforced the importance of printing photographs, of slowing down, of choosing now instead of “one day.”

This exhibition was a defining moment for me. Not just as a photographer, but as a woman, a single mother, and a storyteller.
It showed me what’s possible when you trust an idea, follow it all the way through, and build something with intention and heart. It was legacy-building work, and it will forever hold a special place in my story.
If you want to capture your own family and legacy, get in touch.
And who knows…
I can’t help but wonder if The NOW Project 2.0 might find its way into the world next year.
Because when something moves this many hearts, it deserves to live on.
With gratitude, pride, and a very full heart,
Anna x
