The NOW Project was created to honour families exactly as they are… before life changes, children grow, and moments quietly become memories.

At its heart, this was never just a photography project.
It was an invitation to pause, to be present, and to choose now over someday.

This reel went viral.
but more importantly, it started a movement.

Later feels safe.
But later is where memories slip through the cracks.

The NOW Project was born from a deep belief that this season matters — the ages your children are now, the dog curled at your feet, the way your family fits together today.

Not curated. Not perfect.
Just real, honest, meaningful.

As a family photographer, I hear it often:
“We’ll do it later.”

Why The NOW Project Exists

The original vision was simple and bold:
30 families in 30 days.

Life, as it does, had its own plans.

Fifteen families said yes.
And in doing so, they shaped something far more powerful than numbers ever could.

Those who joined didn’t just take part in a project — they stepped into an experience. One that asked them to slow down, be present, and allow their story to be seen and preserved.

Many have since said they are so grateful they didn’t wait.

30 Families.
30 Days.
One Powerful Intention.

It moved people.
It held them. It reflected back the beauty of ordinary family life in a way words never could.

The film did exactly what I hoped it would do:
  • It honoured the families who trusted me with their stories
  • It showed the emotional depth of the project
  • It reminded everyone watching why now matters

For the families involved, it was a full-circle moment, seeing their everyday love elevated, witnessed, and celebrated.

At the exhibition night, the project film was screened and the room fell quiet.

Kind words

“Watching the film at the exhibition was emotional.
Seeing our everyday life reflected back with so much care was something I’ll never forget.”
“I was on the fence.

Now I look at these images and feel nothing but gratitude that we said yes.”
“It wasn’t just a photo session...
it felt like an experience.
One we’ll talk about for years.”
“I almost didn’t do it because life felt busy.
Now I realise that was exactly why I should have.”

“There was no pressure, no pretending — just us.
And somehow that made it feel really powerful.”

What We Achieved

The NOW Project created more than photographs.

It built community.
It raised funds for Dogs Refuge Home.
It gave families tangible memories they will hold onto for generations.

Most importantly, it shifted perspective — from we should to we’re so glad we did.

For a milestone. A special occasion. When life felt more settled.

I put it off.

Then life happened, suddenly with no warning… and my family looked different.

It was just me and my boys.
And I realised I had missed those earlier family moments, not because they weren’t meaningful, but because I thought there would be more time.

That is my biggest regret.

The NOW Project came from that place.
From knowing, deeply, that waiting often costs us more than we expect.

Every family who joined has said the same thing in different ways:
they are so glad they didn’t wait.

For a long time, I was also someone who thought, “I’ll do it later.”

A Note from me

The NOW Project isn’t finished.

The NOW Project 2.0 is forming later this year… with the original intention fully realised:

30 families. 30 days.

If this stirred something in you…
If you’ve been meaning to do it…
If you don’t want to look back wishing you had, let's talk.

Because one day, this will be the past.
And the only thing you’ll wish…
is that you captured it now.
